Yoga Classes

We provide mindful movement yoga classes for your body and mind.

All our teachers are physiotherapists with yoga teaching qualifications.  

Classes are held during school terms at three locations.

Lobethal: Lobethal Reception Centre, Church St, Lobethal - Georgie Davidson 

City: Sophia Centre, 225 Cross Rd, Cumberland Park - Nicola Marsh

Mt Barker: Cornerstone College, dance studio, Mt Barker - Maria Campanella

Approved for DVA, WorkCover & TPC and private health fund extras when a physiotherapy assessment has been conducted.

Mindful Movement: Yoga for pain and stress 

Lobethal: Tuesdays 5.15pm - 6.15pm TERM 1 starting February 6 for 9 classes $171 term ($80.00 individual consult for newcomers)

City: Tuesdays 6.30pm - 7.45pm TERM 1 starting February 13 for 8 classes $200 term (no class March 13) ($80.00 individual consult for newcomers)

Mt Barker: Thursdays 6.30pm - 7.45pm TERM 1 starting February 15 for 8 classes $200 term ($80.00 individual consult for newcomers)

This class blends physiotherapy, yoga and mindfulness. Gentle guidence adapting to your needs will help you to become aware of your body, how it breathes, holds tension and reacts to your thoughts and emotions. Graceful movements, performed in sitting and standing to develop balance, strength and flexibility, are interspersed with periods of rest to help calm the mind. Suitable for chronic health conditions, back and neck pain, stress related illnesses, headaches, high blood pressure and injury recovery. Suitable for all ages and no previous expereince of yoga is needed. An individual physiotherapy assessment before attendance is required if you are new to our classes.

Lobethal: Tuesdays 6.30pm - 8.00pm TERM 1 starting February 6  $171 for 9 classes / $23 casual

Lobethal: Thursdays 9.00am - 10.30am TERM 1 starting February 8 $171 for 9 classes / $23 casual

What are your possibilities? Stretch your limitations, building strength by holding postures for longer times and stamina by repeated sequences of moving from one posture to another. Time will also be taken to be still and calm the mind, often one of our most difficult challenges. This class is suitable for people with average fitness and some experience of yoga.
